When can my child start dance?

We have classes for ages 12 months to adults. Your child does not need any prior experience to start a class. You can start classes at any time during the year- keep in mind the Showcase is in June where all classes will perform a piece! If your child is interested in more commitment, try out for our competition Company!

How will I know when my child has class?

When you register for the desired classes, you will receive an email with your dancer’s schedule on it. It will also include the days that the class will not meet due to Holidays or closed Business days. If a class has an unexpected cancelation (due to weather) you will receive an email.

Where do I get my child's dancewear?

We have a linked page on the navigation bar and the button below [Dancewear] that will take you to our studio’s dancewear site. To see what the required dress code is for your dancer’s class, click on the button below [Dress Code] for more information. We also have our merchandise store open during studio hours M-Th, 4-8pm.

Will there be a Recital?

YES! We will be doing an End-of-the-year Showcase for all dancers, recreational and company dancers, in the spring. This year we did “Welcome to the Movies” as our showcase and it was a hit!

What if I don't know how to do my child's hair in a bun?

You are not alone! It does not need to be perfect! We will have in-person tutorials and we have many older students and parents who would love to help- just ask! We are all in this together!

How does my child become a Company Dancer?

We will be holding auditions for our 2025-2026 Competition Company June 21st, 2025. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out by email (kayla@thedanceforceacademy.com) or phone (701-712-0088).

What if my child doesn't have their shoes yet?

No worries! If you haven’t ordered them yet, visit the Dress Code page to see what your child needs for class. In the meantime, wear clean socks or bare feet.
